Lameness Examinations

A very large part of our caseload consists of lameness investigations. These can be complex and challenging and in numerous cases require many of our diagnostic modalities.

We have both an extensive area and various surfaces for gait evaluations, which we also use during prepurchase examinations and lameness work-ups.

We use digital radiography and ultrasonography to complement conventional clinical investigative techniques such as diagnostic joint and nerve blocks.

Diagnostic Imaging

Our ultrasound machine is capable of scanning abdominal and thoracic cavities including cardiac structures and is equipped with “Doppler” to evaluate cardiac function.

Endoscopy

- Video-endoscopy is provided for the investigation of :

- The upper and lower respiratory tracts (“wind” examinations).

Gastroscopy

- The stomach in the diagnosis of “Ulcer Disease”. More and more trainers are realising the role that Gastric Ulcer Disease plays in poor performance and are relieved at how effective the treatment can be.
